A WiLd WageR – I’ll bet!

*  With My busy schedule [including enthralling as many hypno whores as I can] I don’t often have the time to settle down with a good hypno-story.  But when I do, it is one of My most relaxing pleasures and turn ons.

Recently, I did have such an opportunity, and I decided to make the most of it.  I printed out a story titled “WHAT A WAGER” that I’d skimmed on inraptured.  I luxuriously slid into My wonderful bed with one of My favorite martini’s and the pages from the story I was gonna devote My attention to.  Guess what I wore that night?  😉

As I read “WHAT A WAGER”, I did My best to put Myself into the heart, mind, and body of the Hypnodomme.  Hypnotizing someone in person who couldn’t hear Me is something I haven’t tried yet.  Wow!.  Cool!

The section of this story where a totally sightless submissive describes his beliefs about how hypnotism works, sensory perceptions, and the power of assumptions to shape our actions really got Me thinking.  I’ve included this excerpt below:

    They sat together on the couch.  She told him the reason for Her summons.

    “I’ve made a little wager with a long-time friend who’s a fellow-hypnotherapist and a devious sparring partner.  My goal is hypnotizing a totally deaf man.”

    “Hmmm, an interesting, thought-provoking, and potentially groundbreaking challenge.  One website which discusses hypnotizing a sightless person also asserts that someone unable to hear cannot be mesmerized by a hypnotist.  I’ve always had My doubts about this claim.”

“Why?” Chautauquathena asked.

“Before we deal with that, I think we should discuss My theory about how hypnosis works.  So far as I know, there are two categories of techniques to get the human mind into a state of heightened suggestibility: sensory overload and mental suppression.  In computerese, thrashing means the machine is so busy moving data around no productive work gets done.  If someone’s mind is highly focused on a particular stimulus, the part of one’s mind which analyzes and filters external suggestions is to some degree deactivated.  Then, that individual becomes more receptive to suggestions introduced during their laser-like focused concentration.  mesmerism is one of Your favorite ways of using sensory overload.  In mental suppression, the ability to scrutinize outside suggestions is switched off by introducing some substance into the body.  Typically, that substance is a drug, or some sort of mind altering food or drink.  Think of sensory overload and mental suppression as two ways of walking through a revolving door which can turn in either direction.  You can take two different paths, yet You end up in the same place.  Think of hypnotic susceptibility as a teeter-totter or balance scale.  Sensory overload or mental suppression sits on one end and the regular conscious mind is on the other.  Too little mental suppression and/or sensory overload and hypnotic suggestions are filtered and analyzed just like all others are.  If a person receives too much sensory overload, they’re unable to concentrate on any particular stimulus.  If an individual receives too much mental suppression, they’ll simply go to sleep or become completely unconscious.  According to the adage, “You can’t have too much of a good thing.”  That’s not true so far as administering sensory overload and/or mental suppression goes.

    “My questioning the accepted notion a completely deaf person can’t be entranced by a hypnotist stems from personal experience.”

    “But you aren’t hearing impaired.”

    “True.  However, i’m different from the norm so far as My sensory perceptions are concerned.  And the most effective kind of hypnotic induction for me is quite different from what works best for most people.  What two types of sensory stimuli are used most often in mesmerism inductions and what are their functions?”

    “Auditory stimuli are used for giving suggestions.  And visual ones are  usually fixation points.”

    “What would’ve happened if You’d used visual fixation devices with me?”

    “Not much.  I needed an alternate type of fixation focus for you to haplessly, helplessly, and happily surrender, succumb, and submit to My sumptuously soothing sorceries.”

    “Exactly.  If i ever publish my explorations of hypnosis, the title might be, “The Adventure of the Non-visual Hypnotic Focus.”  Some of My requirements and some of Your deaf client’s are often called special needs.  When attached to a person, the term “special need” frequently means someone assumed to be defective or less capable than a supposedly normal person.  When applied to objects or actions, “Special needs” means something not used or done by those called normal.  I believe the difference between a “special need” and a “normal requirement” is summed up in the saying, “One man’s meat is another man’s poison.”  A special need is something I don’t desire or require.  A normal thing is something I desire or need.  The point is, a successful deep hypnotic induction doesn’t require a visual fixation point.”

    he counted on Lady Chautauquathena’s acute perceptiveness and well-honed deductive skills guiding Her to the right inference.  They didn’t disappoint him.

“A fixation focus doesn’t need to be visual.  …  And a suggestion path may not need to be auditory” Lady Chautauquathea Odyllique conjectured.

    “….  As you know, in some instances, very different routes can lead to the same destination.  Being an effective hypnotist, therapist, advisor, or even a good friend is like being a good dance partner.  We must know and mesh well with our partner’s moves, moods, and more.  Now for the nuts-and-bolts of the matter.  i think there are at least three ways You can provide Your deaf client with tactile stimulation.”

    “What are they?”

    “Number one, You can provide it Yourself–as You so very pleasurably do with me.  Number two, You can have someone else, preferably within the Sisterhood of sensuous, scintillating, stimulating, sagacious sirens do it.  Number three, You can give him tactile stimulation by proxy.  You could use something like an electronic, remote-controlled massage chair.”

    “And why do you say an attractive woman should help Me hypnotize him?”

    “i’m a guy and that’s what we want.  Beautiful women doing what we say.”

    She saw him smirk as he told Her this.  “You’ll pay for that chauvinism.”

    “Will You take a check?” he quipped.

    “you’re assuming that’s all I’ll take” She retorted flashing a deviously devilish smile.

    “homer, why do you suppose it’s assumed a totally deaf person cannot be mesmerized by a hypnotist?”

    “I firmly believe this idea arises from certain assumptions about normalcy.  Suppose someone supposedly normal does a particular task in a specific way.  An all too common, often wrongly routed train of thought is expressed in this statement.  “a person must do this task in that normal way.  Anyone who can’t do this task in that normal way can’t do this task at all.”  When applied to hypnotizing a deaf individual, this erroneous line of presumption disguised as sound thinking goes like this.  “Every hypnotized person is given auditory suggestions.  Anyone who can’t hear verbal instructions can’t be mesmerized by a hypnotist.”

    “Many so-called normal people believe this kind of thing about some disabled persons.  My conclusion about the so-called normals has precedents.  Throughout most of history, it’s been assumed a completely deaf-blind person couldn’t learn how to speak.  Here’s the logic justifying this belief.  “Anyone who learns to speak must be able to hear or see or both.  Anyone who can’t hear and see, can’t be taught how to speak.”  Patty Duke won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Her portrayal of Helen Keller in the movie version of, “The Miracle Worker.”  I have no objection to the film.  I despise its title!”

    “Why’s that?”

    “Some people who see and hear assume it’s miraculous to teach a deaf-blind individual how to speak.  How come people who aren’t blind or deaf believe they automatically know what can or can’t be accomplished by someone who’s either or both?  It’s just one more example of the “We know what they’re like” or “We know what they can do” or “We know what’s best for them” mindset.  Those arrogant, presumptuous, self!-proclaimed! nor!mals!  Why do the allegedly superior normals not comprehend the vastness of their ignorance about kinds of people they’ve had at most few interactions with?  They’re insufferably! intolerable! to deal with.”  he gritted his teeth as he spoke.

    Chautauquathena had no desire to even attempt to tell him how he should feel about such issues.  Even if She thought he was being overly strident, She knew it wasn’t Her place to offer advice on such matters.  She didn’t deal with the kinds of attitudes he’d encountered.   Nevertheless, She yearned to give Her friend and pup-pet some aid and comfort.  She’d learned of some things he particularly relished.  Leaning close to him, She tenderly toyed with one of his ears.  Next, slowly and sensuously She started stroking his face with Her nails or Her fingertips.  After a couple of minutes, he began to relax under Her magical and Mistressful manual ministrations.

    Chautauquathena returned to Her previous position and lightly placed one hand on his knee.  “I’m a little uneasy about asking you this question.”

    Blissfully basking in the congenial company of this beloved, bewitching, busty, beautiful, brainy erotic hypnotherapist always made homer feel sooooooo goooooood.  he knew he was powerfully drawn to Her for many reasons.  he deeply and implicitly trusted Her.   Lady Chautauquathena, You know how i feel about You.  You can always ask me anything.”

    “What would you like to do to people who believe what you’ve mentioned?”

    “It wouldn’t be pretty and it definitely wouldn’t be painless.  What we’ve been discussing is how powerful assumptions can be.  We know assumptions can affect perception which can subsequently influence our reactions to the cosmos.  The belief that i can do something doesn’t guarantee i’ll do it.  Accepting the belief i can’t do that thing almost certainly guarantees i won’t do it.”

    “Suppose I assume a deaf-blind person can’t learn how to speak.  It wouldn’t make sense for Me to try and teach that person to verbally communicate.”

    “Precisely, Lady Chautauquathena.  When someone says something can’t be done, this conclusion springs from one of four possible reasons.  Number one, the person believes the task is impossible.  Since this is true, it’s ridiculous to try doing it.  Number two, the task is difficult.

How difficult the task is believed to be determines whether or not someone will try doing it.

The assumed difficulty level may be shaped by whether or not someone’s already done it or the believer’s failure to do it or both.

Number three, the person doesn’t know how to do it.

Two items that’ll influence someone’s decision to obtain the knowledge they lack are: how easily can they get the necessary knowledge or skill and the difficulty level they assign to completing the task.

Number four, the person doesn’t want to do the task.  Someone’s unwillingness to attempt something can be spawned by any of the previously stated reasons.  Once more You’ve shown Your deductive skills are as well-endowed as everything about You.”

*  Here’s something else that “What a Wager” stirred up in Me.  Something that truly engages Me is totally sexy–even if it isn’t sexual at all.
