Hi there, My vehement voterThis year, it seems like a lot of the world is getting all tied up in some kind of politics-related issues.France, Mexico, Egypt, and Greece are just a few of the countries that’ve had recent national elections. And the US presidential contest will be going on and on and on … until the first Tuesday in November 2012.Whenever politics rears its head, there are often at least two very strong opinions on whatever the subject of that particular election is. And yet after each election, most of us seem to settle down and lead our usual lives–until the next political contest that may concern us pops up.Yes, elections have consequences. And sometimes, an election’s effects can stick around for years.
Still, I enjoy it when people can express facts, ideas, and opinions about politics or other serious and/or complex subjects in clever, humorous, and hopefully thought-arousing ways. [AROUSAL! YUMMY!]

Not only do they tantalizingly tickle My funny bone, “The Capitol Steps” stimulate My mind as well.
Another thing I like about them is that “The Capitol Steps” aim their barbs at individuals and groups across the whole American political scene. And celebrities and world leaders are also among the well-known entities on their menu for madcap mimickery as well.
